Play as Warlords investing in different fantasy races, buying their contracts while cheap, then building their value & power. Profit from their conflicts, using their abilities, or an end game payout.
Description:
The land of Esterok is in constant turmoil… making it the perfect business opportunity for the head of a greedy Warlord such as yourself. While the strength of various factions ebb and flow, it is you who can profit from the chaos. Player turns consist of placing tiles to either establish a Mercenary camp, expand an existing camp, or start a conflict between Mercenary camps on the board, and then you may optionally either buy contracts in any of the available camps, or use one of your Mercenary Contracts to cash it out for it's value. Buying the contracts while they are cheap, and cashing them out when they are valuable (or holding on to them until the end of the game) is how you grow your wealth. And just like in real life, the player with the most gold wins.
