This highly popular game is not yet available in the USA. Reminiscent of chess, this WWI themed game flows much quicker.
Description:
Trench is a straight strategy game like chess but the games are much quicker. It takes minutes to learn but a lifetime to master. It is basically a chess board turned sideways with a line diagonally across the middle which is the Trench. It is based on the Trench warfare of WWI. Pieces in the Trench cannot be taken from enemy territory and can charge out taking multiple pieces. There are 5 ranks of pieces which are shaped with either 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 levels. A rank 1 can move 1 space. A rank 2 can move 2 spaces but with additional options on directions. A level 3 can move 3 spaces also with increased options on directions, etc. The winner is determined by either eliminating all of their opponent’s pieces or by points since each piece has a value reflected in their rank. No experience necessary. Why wait until it’s available in the USA? Come and get a tutorial.

Win royal favor in a pair of 2-player abstract strategy challenges, King Trith's Path & Queen Tride's Way. Learn & Play!
Description:
Meet Independent Game Designers Philip Sams and Chad Jourdan from Bran Newton Games, who will introduce you to a pair of two-player abstract strategy challenges as you compete for royal favor in Trith & Tride. Two elegant challenges, King Trith's Path and Queen Tride's Way, share a modular board and high quality components, but have quite different rules. Both are played with bridge and land tokens in three colors, and begin with a set-up mechanic that insures each player only knows their own assigned color. The hidden color assignments add opportunity for bluffing and increased strategic complexity. After playtesters, this is the first opportunity for the general public to see, learn, and play this game. We will teach all the rules, but if you want to take a look ahead of time, full game details will be posted on BranNewtonGames.com prior to the show.
